"The Valley"

"The Valley" is a feature film project based on the true story of Kaluaiko'olau of Kaua'i, who refused to be separated from his wife and young son and face exile in the leper colony. With the help of his trusty rifle, they resisted the cannons of the Provisional Government and remained hidden in Kalalau Valley, living off the land and honoring native Hawaiian practices until the disease claimed what the soldiers could not.
